Contamination evidence workflow
Something changes colour, texture, smell or growth speed.

Visible contamination may appear late in a process that started earlier. A grow history can preserve colonization speed, moisture changes, environmental conditions and handling events that are no longer obvious in the final photograph. This does not automatically establish causation, but it gives troubleshooting a more reliable starting point.
Write what you can see or smell: colour, texture, location, speed of spread and whether the material looks dusty, wet or slimy. A label such as Trichoderma can be revised; a dated description and photograph remain useful evidence. Never open a potentially sporulating container indoors merely to collect more data.
If contamination returns, compare what the affected grows shared: culture source, grain preparation, sterilization cycle, substrate batch, inoculation session, workspace, temperature and moisture. Successful grows made under similar conditions are equally important because they help narrow which factors were actually different.
