The Problem

Harvest numbers are easy to lose in notebooks, camera captions, messages, and memory. After several blocks or tubs, you may remember that one grow felt productive without knowing its total recorded weight, how many harvest updates it produced, or whether you ever weighed the later flushes.

How a real mycologist would think about it

Enter wet weight, dry weight, or both on each harvest update. The dashboard keeps those units separate, totals the measurements attached to each grow, and lets you compare recorded results. Your notes and timeline remain available to investigate why outcomes differed.

A measurement is useful only when its meaning stays clear

Fresh and dried mushrooms are not interchangeable measurements. Drying removes most of the water weight, so Dr. MycoTek totals wet and dry harvests separately. If one flush was not weighed, the recorded total remains a partial record rather than being presented as the grow’s guaranteed total production.

Compare your process, not just the leaderboard

A larger harvest may reflect a larger block, different species, more flushes or more complete logging. Use the results view to find grows worth investigating, then open their timelines to compare substrate, elapsed time, environmental notes, interventions and visible development.

Biological efficiency requires another input

Biological efficiency compares fresh mushroom weight with the dry weight of the starting substrate. Wet bag weight cannot substitute for dry substrate weight. The current results view therefore reports recorded harvest weights honestly and does not manufacture a biological-efficiency percentage.

Can I record more than one flush?

Yes. Add a harvest update for each flush and enter wet weight, dry weight, or both. Each update stays in the grow timeline.

Does Dr. MycoTek combine wet and dry weights?

No. Wet and dry weights are totaled and displayed separately because they are not directly comparable.

Does it calculate biological efficiency?

Not currently. A defensible calculation requires reliable dry starting-substrate weight, which the grow workflow does not consistently collect.

Can the largest recorded harvest be called my best grow?

It is your largest recorded weight, but not automatically your most efficient grow. Compare starting scale, species, flush count and completeness of the records.
